Our Clinic Featured in the Tribune

Read the latest Tribune Article to feature our clinic and one of our kids! In the middle of May we were visited by John J. Kim, photographer for the Chicago Tribune. He spent time with two of our therapists, Alex Meeske and Jessie Smith. Additionally, he met with one of our incredible clients, Hayden Cheng. Kim and fellow writer at the Tribune, Darcel Rockett, worked together to tell the story of Hayden’s absence of a gene protein and how it makes her a medical rarity. When asked by the Tribune, Hayden’s physical therapist Alex Meeske spoke about her friend Hayden and their time spent together at the clinic.

“Hayden is such a joy! She has the best laugh you’ve ever heard,” Meeske said. “She loves messy play. If you give her some shaving cream or something like that, she’s all over it. Every time she does a somersault, she stands up to look to make sure that we saw it.”
