Natalie Berra is a godsend! My son needed physical therapy from a very early age and we saw Natalie for several months. She was always very professional, welcoming and clearly knows her stuff & takes pride in doing a good job. We are very happy with my son’s progress, and the sessions did not feel like a chore every week because Natalie is so easy to talk to. The whole practice seems well run and it makes such a difference when front desk people are actually pleasant too (Ms Cory was wonderful).

We have been working with Natalie K. now for about 7 months. She is the absolute best PT I could have asked for!!! I was so worried when my son wasn’t crawling yet at 10 months old and she had him moving in no time! Same thing with his walking. He also absolutely adores her. She is so good with babies and toddlers! I look forward to going to our weekly session because I know how productive it will be every time and I walk out of our sessions in such a good mood. I can’t recommend a center or therapist more!!

My son has been seeing Natalie Kahn for about a year, we just absolutely love her. She is patient, kind, smart and dedicated to her skill and these kids. I can not recommend her enough to whomever will listen! My son adores her and has made amazing progress with his issues…so much so that we have recently gotten the clear to no longer need PT. Although we will miss seeing her every week, it’s because of her hard work and care that my son is thriving, and that I am so grateful for. It takes a village and I am so glad we have/had the pleasure of having Natalie in ours.

Our daughter loves going to Speech and OT here. Love the staff, specifically Alyse for OT and Sarah for speech therapy. They're so patient with our kiddo all the while keeping her on task and we love the growth we've seen already after just a few months. Veronica also has helped us navigate insurance and has been really helpful.

CPTWC has been an absolute haven for both my boys. The front office is always so welcoming & helpful with my 100 questions, especially Ms. Cory!

Our 4mo old baby required Physical Therapy due to Torticollis, and Ms. Amanda has been such a joy to work with. My son fell in love from day one, and she was able to help him achieve his goals, throughout his Doc Band journey.

Our 2.5yr old toddler was referred here by his pediatrician for Occupational Therapy, and Ms. Kirsten has been the most positive influence! He absolutely adores her, and has made such incredible progress. He has since started seeing Ms. Erin for Speech Therapy, which has also been such a positive and fun experience for him! Now we begin his ABA journey with Ms. Natalia and we already know he is in SUCH good hands with his whole caring team.

We are SO grateful to have found this wellness center, and would be lost without everyone there. Highly recommend for all the children in your life!

Who We Are at Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center
What Is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy?

What Is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy?

ABA therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a research-backed approach that helps children build practical, everyday skills. It’s often used to support communication, social interaction, behavior, and independence.

ABA breaks learning into small, achievable steps to encourage children through daily triumphs. Positive reinforcement, play-based activities, and consistent routines help children understand what’s expected. When they achieve the desired outcomes, they experience the feeling of success.

Friendships through play: Practice turn-taking, pretend play, and group collaboration in a secure setting.

Everyday independence: We guide children through daily routines like dressing, toileting, and mealtime with growing confidence.

Emotional balance: Turn challenging moments into learning opportunities — teaching skills like waiting, asking for help, and managing feelings.

School preparedness: Develop confidence with classroom structures and routines.

For many parents, ABA offers structure and clarity. At Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center, ABA is personalized, playful, and family-centered, including parents, so progress continues at home.

FAQs About West Loop ABA Therapy

ABA therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a gentle, evidence-based way to help children learn new skills and feel more confident in their daily lives. It focuses on communication, social connection, behavior, and everyday routines through positive strategies that break skills down into manageable steps.

At Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center, ABA never has a one-size-fits-all approach. Our sessions are playful, engaging, and built around your child’s strengths, interests, and goals. We work closely with your family so you always feel supported and included throughout the journey.

Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center supports children from infancy through the teenage years in the West Loop area.

This includes:

  • Babies and toddlers (0–3)
  • Preschoolers (3–5)
  • School-age kids (6–12)
  • Teens and preteens (13+)

Whether your child is just starting to meet early milestones or needs support later in childhood, we provide age-appropriate therapy tailored to their stage of development.

Many parents wonder this, and it’s completely normal. West Loop ABA therapy may be helpful if you notice that your child is struggling with skills that affect daily life. Families often reach out when they see things like:

  • Challenges with communication or expressing needs
  • Difficulty with social interaction or playing with others
  • Behaviors that feel intense, repetitive, or hard to manage
  • Trouble following routines or transitioning between activities
  • Delays in learning new skills or becoming more independent

You don’t have to know for sure before reaching out. A simple conversation with our team can help you understand whether ABA would support your child’s growth and what the next steps could look like.

Yes. Most families in the West Loop can use their insurance to cover ABA therapy. Many major plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and others, offer coverage for ABA services for children with an autism diagnosis.

Coverage can feel confusing, so our team handles the details for you. We check your benefits, explain what your plan includes, request any required authorizations, and manage all claim submissions. This helps you understand your costs upfront and makes getting started much easier. We can verify your specific plan and walk you through the next steps.

Most children receive 10 to 40 hours of ABA therapy per week, depending on their age, needs, and goals. After your child’s evaluation, your BCBA will recommend a schedule that supports the skills you want to build.

You won’t have to make this decision on your own. We review the recommendation with you, explain why it’s the right fit, and make sure it works for your family’s routine.

ABA therapy for West Loop families is backed by decades of research and is widely effective for many children with autism, but every child responds differently. Most children show progress in areas like communication, social skills, behavior, and daily routines. The approach works best when it’s personalized, play-based, and focused on your child’s strengths and interests.

At Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center, we tailor each ABA plan to fit your child’s unique needs. If ABA isn’t the right fit on its own, we can blend support with speech therapy, occupational therapy, or other services to create the most effective path forward for your child.

Yes, we do. We can accommodate West Loop families reasonably quickly, and you won’t have to worry about long waiting lists.

Yes. Not only do we allow you to be part of the journey, but we also strongly encourage it. Your child will look to you for strength to work through each process, even when the activities are fun.

Your child also relies on you to take the teachings home so that they can practice in a safe space. You’ll leave feeling equipped during these sessions, so you know what to do, as this is a way to ensure the continuation of therapy.

Your child deserves the best, and we only rely on verifiable data to guide the ABA process. All sessions are recorded, so our BCBAs can review the data to track your child’s progress and make recommendations.

We provide scheduled updates to review progress, recognize milestones, and refine goals when necessary. Regular feedback ensures you always have a clear picture of your child’s growth.

Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center stands out for its integrated, whole-child approach. Families can access ABA therapy alongside speech, OT, PT, and social work in a coordinated setting. Our play-based, child-centered style keeps kids engaged, and regular parent communication ensures you’re part of every decision.

Therapy is flexible, offered in clinic, at home, in school, or in the community, and supported by a highly trained, evidence-based team. Reasons to consider Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center:

  • Well-equipped facility
  • Convenient location
  • Focus on real-life skill building

We also offer a more comprehensive, family-focused experience than many standalone ABA providers.

Most West Loop families can begin ABA therapy shortly after the intake and evaluation process is complete. Once we gather your child’s history, confirm insurance benefits, and complete the comprehensive ABA evaluation, we work quickly to match your child with a therapist who’s the right fit.

Because we have a large, multidisciplinary team, we’re often able to start services faster than many clinics in Chicago. To give you an exact timeline, our intake team can review availability and walk you through the next steps.

Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center is located in Chicago, with services available in our clinic, in your home, at your child’s school, and through teletherapy. Yes, we absolutely work with families in the West Loop. Many of our clients come from nearby neighborhoods like West Town, Bucktown, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, and Logan Square.

At Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center, families often discover that their child thrives with support from several specialties, and not just ABA. Our clinic brings multiple pediatric services together in one place, including:

If your child would benefit from a combination of services, our team collaborates to build a coordinated treatment plan that keeps every therapy aligned with your child’s individual goals and growth.

ABA therapy costs can vary a lot, especially when insurance is involved. Uninsured hourly rates range from $120–$200 per hour, but when insurance is involved, things become less predictable. Your actual costs depend on the specifics of your plan: your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and any coverage limits. The literature shows the ranges, but your actual out-of-pocket cost is something only your insurance plan can determine.
